This workstream will refine the Safe and Just Boundaries for key Earth systems, including biodiversity, land, freshwater, nutrients, climate, and air pollution. It will also expand this framework to cover additional areas such as the oceans and novel entities (chemical pollution).
In parallel, it will explore how these boundaries interact—examining the links between systems and processes, and improving our understanding of interconnected tipping points across the Earth system.
